Creationism Fail

“Texas State Representative Leo Berman has proposed House Bill 2800, which would exempt any private non-profit institution that requires students to complete substantive course work from having to acquire a certificate of authority from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Berman admits that his inspiration for the bill was the Institute for Creation Research Graduate School.”

Here we have the Ignorance Movement in full swing. Everyone’s welcome to any faith that gives them a little peace, but extending Biblical literalism to the point that you’re specifically not teaching science isn’t just Creationism, it’s deliberate de-evolution on an intellectual level. Good thing God remembered to drop all those dinosaur bones to fuck with us. Wait…no…they have an explanation for the dinosaur bones, which is actually being commemorated in the Creation Museum.

No, tragically that’s not a link to a spoof site. Their “Museum Events” include all the hard hitting topics you’d expect from a facility dedicated to the preservation of historical fact and archaeology; such as “Is Genesis Relevant in Today’s World” and “Snakes Alive”, a look at reptiles from “God’s perspective.”  When you fill the heads of children with the belief that any religious text is to be taken literally you’re polluting the world I have to live in with ignorance, and I will call you out on your fail.
